Fire Accident in Kolkata Hopspital,Dhakuria

Kolkata-Dec9th: A major fire broke out in centrally Air-conditioner seven storey hospital at Dhakuria around 3.30AM Smoke billowed out, firemen used ladders with platforms smashed window panes in the facade of the building to rescue patients trapped inside the ICU, ICCU, Intensive Therapy Unit and Critical Care units.

Around 73 Patients died due to the suffocation of heavy smoke.Many patients brought down from upstairs by tying to rope bye fireman and all the family members of the patients are in horror watched in tragedy.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on the spot, said authorities of the SSKM Hospital have been instructed to immediately open emergency units for treatment of the injured. She was also seen consoling the families of the victims.
